n addition to helping our
clients develop and manage their properties, Woods, Water and Wildlife also
assists clients in finding and purchasing properties for recreation and
investment. These conservation properties provide opportunities for
landowners to create and enhance wildlife habitats, manage timber resources, and
restore natural landscapes. Some properties have already been enhanced by
projects undertaken by our staff or previous landowners. We also assist
clients in selling their properties, matching landowners with potential
conservation buyers. Occasionally, we purchase properties and implement projects
to improve its natural resources. We then resell these properties to prospective
buyers.
A current description of our conservation properties for sale is provided below.
Goose Creek Tract
Goose Creek Tract, Pamlico County, NC- Located outside of Lowland, this 105 acre wooded tract is adjacent to Goose Creek and the ICW, and has over 1 mile of waterfront. It is located across the creek from the state waterfowl impoundments at Goose Creek, and lays directly in the flyway between these impoundments and the state waterfowl impoundment at Pamlico Point. The tract contains 59 acres of thinned pines, 21 acres of unthinned pines and 25 acres of marsh. This tract is very private, located ½ mile off of a public road with a gated entrance. The creeks and tributaries that border this tract provide excellent hunting opportunities for both puddle and diving ducks.
